Reality becomes dream

We are Teun and Nancy: we left the Netherlands a couple of years ago to start an adventure that still brings back precious memories. With an old camper filled with everything that was dear to us, we left our home country. Portugal was our goal. A goal that was very hard to reach and involved a lot of hard work and patience.

After one year of driving around the Algarve , we found our dream, a piece of land on top of a hill with fantastic views, this had to be it! After 2 years of enormously hard work and a lot of setbacks, our ideal living space had become reality. 3 Years later everything was finished and Quinta a Borboleta was born: the house of the butterflies.

We have done our best to turn an old Quinta (read: wasteland with a shack!), into a small paradise on top of a 250 meters high hill with superb views of the Algarve coastline.
A paradise with five maisonettes, a fantastic pool, a romantic Jacuzzi and plans for a nature sauna in the near future.

After all, people always need to have dreams… but our biggest dream became reality.
